I am excited to announce a big development for my firm: I’ve entered into an “Of Counsel” relationship with The Law Offices of Richard D. Director. Richard Director is a highly regarded attorney with vast experience in the fields of workers’ compensation and social security disability law. Richard and I have known each other for many years, and I have a high level of respect for him as a fellow practitioner. This step brings our firms close together and allows us to better serve our clients by consolidating our decades of experience.
Don’t worry – Gross Law Office isn’t going anywhere – we’re just growing!

Announcing the Formation of an Of Counsel Relationship between Abigail A. Gross, Esq., Principal of Gross Law Office, LLC and Richard D. Director, Esq., Principal of The Law Offices of Richard D. Director.
Allentown, Pennsylvania – July 10, 2020 – Abigail A. Gross, Esq., owner of Gross Law Office, LLC, and Richard D. Director, Esq., owner of The Law Offices of Richard D. Director have announced the formation of an “Of Counsel” relationship between the two firms. This arrangement is effective as of July 1, 2020.

The law offices both have an emphasis on workers’ compensation matters. Both Attorney Gross and Attorney Director are certified as specialists in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

The Of Counsel arrangement will allow the firms to develop a collaborative relationship and will allow the attorneys to provide an even higher-level of service to their clients. Together, Attorney Gross and Attorney Director have nearly 60 years of legal experience.

My clients and I will both benefit from his decades of experience,” said Gross. “Richard and I share a passion for workers’ compensation and for representing injured workers. The Of Counsel association will allow us to consolidate our knowledge and challenge each other to become even sharper advocates for our clients.”

About Abigail A. Gross, Esq.
Ms. Gross graduated from Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism; and then obtained a second bachelor’s degree in psychology/pre-law from Cedar Crest College. (She was the first person in her family to graduate from college.) Thereafter, she received her law degree from The Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law.

Ms. Gross began her legal career working for a large Philadelphia insurance defense firm where she gained valuable experience handling workers’ compensation matters. In 2013, Ms. Gross opened her solo practice, where representing the injured worker became her focus.

Ms. Gross is a member of the workers’ compensation section of the Lehigh County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association where she serves as a Council member on the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Section. She is certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. She has also served as faculty and presented topics at the PBA Fall Workers’ Compensation Section Meeting. Ms. Gross routinely leads seminars on workers’ compensation procedure for various labor unions.

Ms. Gross has been continuously selected for inclusion in Philadelphia Magazine’s “Pennsylvania Super Lawyer – Rising Stars” Edition, an honor held by less than 5% of practicing attorneys (2012-2018 editions); and she was also selected by the same Magazine as a “Super Lawyer” (2019-2020 editions). She is proud of her Slovak heritage and has served on the Board of Directors for the National Slovak Society of the USA since 2014. In 2016, she was selected as recipient of the Top Forty Under 40 by Lehigh Valley Business; and in 2020 she was honored to be named as a Woman of Influence by the same publication.

She is a lifelong Lehigh Valley native and the proud mother of four boys.

About Richard D. Director, Esq.
Richard Director has been practicing law for over forty years. His practice focuses on workers’ compensation, motor vehicle/truck accidents, general litigation and wills/power of attorney.
Mr. Director graduated from Syracuse University in New York and received his law degree from Temple University School of Law in 1974. He has been practicing workers’ compensation law for more than thirty (30) years.

Mr. Director is a member of the workers’ compensation section of the Lehigh County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He has lectured on workers’ compensation law topics for the Lehigh County Bar Association, the National Business Institute, and the Lehigh County Barristers Inn. He has taught workers’ compensation law for paralegals as an adjunct professor at Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC). He has also been certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.

In addition to his private practice, Mr. Director has also been employed by the Lehigh County as a Senior Deputy District Attorney. In this capacity, Mr. Director handles criminal prosecutions, misdemeanor and felony cases – including driving under the influence, homicide by vehicle and related prosecutions.

Mr. Director has an affection for the arts, serving on the Board of Governors of the Civic Theatre of Allentown for more than 20 years. He has also performed in a number of productions and muscials at Civic Theatre and the Pennsylvania Stage Company.

Mr. Director resides in the Lehigh Valley along with his wife. They raised three sons – two of which followed in their father’s footsteps by entering the legal profession.
